If you have a relative or friend who is awaiting a kidney transplant, you might be interested in finding out whether you could donate them one of your kidneys. If so, why not speak to them about the idea and ask if they can arrange for you to be tested to see if you are a match for them?
In some countries it is also possible to donate a kidney to a stranger. This is an altruistic act with no expectation of receiving anything in return other than knowing that you have saved or radically improved someone’s life.
