Registering as a stem cell (bone marrow) in the UK

You can register as a potential bone marrow donor if you are between 16-55 years, in good health and meet the eligibility criteria.

  • If you are already registered as a blood donor and are aged 18-49, simply inform the staff that you would like to join the British Bone Marrow Registry or the Welsh Bone Marrow Registry when you go to donate blood

All the registries share their records so if you are on one database, you do not need to join another.

The Little Yellow Duck Project creates and distributes handcrafted gifts to raise global awareness of blood, bone marrow, organ and tissue donation.
